Time out

Time Out

I need some time off.

I need to feel liberated again.

I want to get out of the 9 to 6 rut – please;

To feel the cold breeze,

That the walls of the office don’t let in even on a lease!

I want to go on a long furlough

And not be evaluated for it.

Even though I am a Digital Marketer and it seems impossible,

I want to logout of all those social media platforms

And perform a reform.

Do whatever the hell I want

Without a single taunt.

Yes sir,

You can go make your own coffee liqueur.

I want to go home

Because I am oh-so-sick of chrome.

The very many plugins,

That were installed to act like my fins.

I want to logoff the computer

And that router,

Which refuses to work time and again.

And then..

I want to sleep an hour longer,

Work towards being stronger.

Travel nationwide.

If possible, even worldwide!

Clicking selfies along the way,

Without the look of dismay.

I want to spend time with my family,

Probably go out and buy something from Hamley’s.

Spend time playing with my dog,

And log everything on a blog.

While away time at a coffee shop,

And go time hop.

Weren’t those good moments worth cherishing more than once?

I want to take a break.

A time out of the time I have on hand.

I want to follow ‘my’ dreams

And not just help build someone else’s.

Because, YOLO.
